Congratulations on the decision to get a dog! Thinking about getting the right kind of dog that will fit into your life may take some time, but planning in advance will save you some time and effort in the end. And with the right kind of dog, your bond is bond to get strong.
If you are a busy person, the think you need to think about before you get your dog is how much time you are willing to spend with them. Are available to go on a morning run with them or a walk during lunch? And when you do have time, how much energy do you think you’d have to play with them.
Another thing you need to consider is whether or not you will have someone around that can entertain your dog while you are at work. If no-one would be willing to dog-sit or if you don’t have the budget for a professional to do it, do you have a big back yard for your dog to entertain themselves?
When you are considering what kind of dog to get, there are certain breeds that require less attention than others and considerably less space.
Here are a few examples of dogs (and their personality traits) that would suit a busy person with limited space:

-They are people friendly and love strangers,
-Good around children,
-Playful and energetic but not hyperactive, and
-Very loyal.

-Independent,
-Calm and quiet,

-Don’t require much exercise,
-Polite around strangers, and
-Accepting of other dogs or animals.
Toy Poodle
-Athletic and good at being at shows,
-Very intelligent,
-Good at being companions,
-They love being with others,
-Good with a set schedule,
-Sensitive and can expect your next move, and
-Easy to housebreak.
Yorkshire Terriers
-Courageous,
-Fun loving,
-Independent, and
-Intelligent.
