Losing a pet is always painful, and the mourning period is never short or easy. In order to cope, most people try to find ways to memorialize their departed friend, to remember the good times and share them with the world. And a website called Doggy Heaven is just one to offer all the tools needed for for a touching memorial.
Doggy Heaven offers users space to make a digital profile for a dog who's passed. The site accommodates pictures, stories, quotes, and miscellaneous facts about the animal. It also makes the memorials public, so people can find other tributes (and even cross-reference by breed to find similar animals to their own). The above picture is of Blue, a male Australian shepherd and just one of the dogs eulogized on the site.
There are other sites also dedicated to pet memorial pages. Doggy Heaven is a particularly well-maintained site, but for people who have different tastes, such as the more somber
Immortal Pets, or the cat-specific
CRF Memorials (which require an up-front donation to keep the site running).
