I posted on here about a month ago that my son said the word "kitty" and I was thrilled to no end. My little boy just turned two years old this week and he said another new word - this time it was "doggy"!
He has a lot of books with pictures of dogs and cats and other pets in them, which is probably why he is saying so many animal words (he also says "baa baa" whenever he sees a picture of a sheep). But I like to make the case for my husband that my son is actually an animal lover, and that means someday we will need to buy him a furry friend of his own. My husband dismisses me when I say things like that, mainly because he is allergic to anything with fur, but I still think it's fun to tease him about how much my son adores animals.
