What's the Danger?
Cats like to crawl into bags and boxes. Problem is, with the plastic grocery-store bags, your cat is likely to crawl through the small handle opening causing her head to get stuck. As she can't free herself and becomes frightened, she will likely try to run.
A Better Bag
Ask for paper at the grocery store, or better yet, use one of the "Green" bags available at most supermarkets. It's better for the environment and your cat is less likely to become stuck.

Great Story...It never occurred to me the threat plastic bags can pose to small animals, such as cats or small dogs. Thank you so much for posting such an informative and truly insightful article such as this! I will definitely make sure to ask for "paper" from now on at my grocer--keep posting your helpful hints!!!!!
