When my dogs were puppies, they destroyed countless dog toys that I brought home for them. I purchased toys that were supposed to be indestructible, but that wasn’t the case once my dogs got their sharp baby teeth around them. I came across an article in Plenty magazine that talks about pet toys made by West Paw Design. The owner of the company, Spencer Williams, developed a recyclable plastic called Zogoflex, which is also FDA approved.
Instead of having to throw out your chewed up plastic dog toys, you can return these toys to the company so they can be made into new toys. These toys can be purchased at http://www.westpawdesign.com/, and they even have a toy similar to the Kong toy. West Paw Design creates other pet essentials like beds and mats, which are made from plastic bottles.
