Have you been watching any of the 2010 Westminster Kennel Club this year. While I am unable to watch all of the show, I do like to check in throughout the event to see the dogs and their handlers in the ring. I enjoy seeing how the dogs are shown and how they are moved through their paces to best show off each breed.
This show is the 134th Westminster Kennel Club annual dog show. The event is limited to 2500 dogs, which are all champions in their own right.
The 2009 Winner had senior citizens around the world join in the celebration as a Sussex Spaniel named "Stump" becomes the oldest dog ever to capture Best In Show at Westminster. The 10-year-old golden liver dog (registered name Ch. Clussexx Three D Grinchy Glee) is more than two years older than the previous record holder, winning in front of another sellout crowd at the Garden. Stump is later featured on the cover of AARP Magazine.
Who will win in 2010? Who was the first dog to win? Want to know more of the history of this event? You can visit the Westminster Dog Show site and find out more about this long standing event!
The list of breed entries follow. If you have a purebred dog, is it listed here? One of mine is! The English Springer Spaniel - I do not see my other dog, a Jack Russell Terrier.
