Valentine's Day is coming very soon. If you are looking for a special romantic valentine's present, remember your pets as well on your shopping trips! Our pets are with us through thick and thin and love it when they are remembered with special love and treats. Since money may be tight after all the holiday spending and hoopla, here are some budget minded Valentine's Day gifts for your pet ~ I hope you are able to find one or two that will fit the bill for you!
#1 Valentines Treat Bouquet: Buy a few bones and chews from the open bin at the pet store, group them together and tie together with some pretty pink ribbon or bow. Pull one out at a time to share with your pet and viola! you have a special treat that is made just for valentine's day!
#2 Valentine's Sweet Tooth: Buy some of the white chocolate that pets can enjoy, or else buy the special doggie chocolate at your local pet store. Serve it up one piece at a time as an after dinner treat or as a special treat after a valentine's day walk. Buy some doggie cookie treats all decorated in pink, white and red!
#3 Valentine's Day Toy: There are so many hearts and squeaky toys that are themed for valentines day that you'll be sure to find just the right one in the right size for your pet. Usually these special items are $2 or $3 for a great treat toy! I already bought mine!
#4 Grooming Day: You do not have to spend a lot of money to groom your dog (or cat). Make it a special day at home if you need to and let your dog enjoy all the massage, brushing, combing, and love that you can give. End it all with some painted toe-nails, a bow-tie, or other personal item. They'll really love this gift, and if you top it off with a special yummy treat . . . .
#5 Valentine day bandanna or collar charms: Tie a valentine day bandanna around your pets neck then go for a nice long walk or jog through the park. Collar charms are relatively inexpensive and let you express your feelings and thoughts for the special day, or for everyday of the year. Check out these items at your local pet store or in the pet aisle at the supermarket - you'll be surprised at all the great valentine's day themed items you can get for your pet.
Happy Valentine's Day!
