Parrots?

A couple of years back my sister and I were staying in Brussels in Belgium, we were out walking in the local park one day when Beth spotted something flying about the trees. She got all excited shouting 'its a parrot! A parrot!'
I couldn't see it but she was insistent. I followed her until there in one of the knots was a green parrot, we don't know whether it was a pet that had got loose or introduced on purpose but it was an odd sight.
