About Me: I love animals and their bond with us. My new book Dog Dish Diet: Sensible Nutrition for Your Dog's Health is out and available on my website (http://dogdishdiet.com ). I have been an animal lover my whole life. As a teenager, I worked at a pet shop and vet hospital, then attended community college. I left home for UC Davis in 1974. I graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School in 1980. Since then I have practiced at Gilroy Veterinary Hospital. For the last ten years I have become fascinated with nutrition and health, hence the subject of my book. My wife of over thirty years, Lonna, loves our family of three dogs and three cats , which always include rescues or orphans.
